Rajan Sahota’s story is one of transformation. Born in Punjab, India and raised in South Sacramento, Rajan grew up surrounded by music — his father would sing and play the harmonium and keyboard, sparking his own love for sound as early as age four. By his teens, Rajan was hustling — playing Punjabi dhol at wedding receptions, working side gigs, and teaching himself how to record music in his bedroom using YouTube tutorials and a USB mic.

Influenced by Lil Wayne, Kid Ink, and Tyga, Rajan’s catalog bridges cultures through bilingual records like “Jattiana” (2019 ft. Happy Singh), “Yaari” (2023 ft. Slim Swagga), and “Undefeated” (2024). He also holds production and arrangement credits on Mozzy’s “Round and Round” featuring Lil Blood, Rich Homie Quan, and Iamsu! from Mandatory Check (2016).
The Music : A Fusion of Worlds
Rajan’s sound is a reflection of his dual identity — The rhythmic percussion of Punjabi music fused with the slick bounce of West Coast hip-hop. Inspired by artists like Lil Wayne, Kid Ink, and Tyga, his music blurs language and culture to create something refreshingly original.
Legacy & Message
“I want to be remembered as the kid who became a successful artist with his own label—someone who did things his way when the odds were against him,” says Rajan. “I was academically talented and could’ve gone to a major university, but I chose to chase my passion instead. The only time you lose is when you quit.”
With his authenticity, cross-cultural sound, and relentless drive, Rajan Sahota is shaping up to be one of the most compelling emerging voices bridging cultures through music.
